I'm re-reading Ina May's Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin for inspiration and tips. My little Diah asked if he could read the book and look for letters.
He ended up on my lap for a while, then he took it from me as he spent a considerable amount of time pronouncing every letter he knew phonetically.
Meanwhile, Tony is entertaining Esther with her 40th or so binary number challenge.
She loves to play with numbers on her hundreds board and with the magnetic numbers 1 to 9, so I told Tony at dinner she'd probably understand binary without a problem. Sure enough, she can now write and read binary through 6 digits, that's 0 to 63. (I can't. She's explained it a couple times already, but I'm completely uninterested. I unfortunately passed that class in college, and my pregnant brain can't even understand the GPS while driving these days.)
We're just enjoying a lovely evening as a family, a nice memory to precede the hopeful, gentle arrival of our little girl.
